2 Samuel 22:1-2
“And David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
And he said, the Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer”
Today I didn’t learn something new but God reminded me of an important habit I should be in. Giving him the credit. David was very mighty and had every opportunity to glorify himself when victory finally came. In 2 Samuel 22 he does the exact opposite. He takes the chance to give God all the credit and lift his holy name high. He praised him endlessly for all he has done.
David was not perfect but I would want to learn from him in this chapter. Every day God gives me good gifts. I pray that I would always recognized him as the giver rather than myself as the achiever.
